For Your Windows, Doors or Conservatory

Victorian and Edwardian Conservatories, Orangeries

A conservatory not only transforms your property but it will also change the way you live. In addition to providing additional space in which to relax, work or enjoy life, modern conservatories are constructed from the same uPVC and composites as modern windows and doors helping to retain heat and make your home more energy efficient.

Askus Home Improvements are authorised installers of Swish windows, doors and conservatories  and have many years experience in the industry. We fully understand that each customer has different requirements and we can easily tailor the style and design of your conservatory to your personal preferences, making available the complete range of colours, architectural styles, detailing and finish.

No matter what type of conservatory you choose, you’ll find yourself making the most out of your new room throughout the year, in all seasons and all weather. A genuine alternative to a traditional building extension, conservatories can provide you with a made-to-measure bespoke living area without the associated mess and cost.

This classical English-designed conservatory is completely adaptable to suit every house style. Its distinguished architectural features with a bay front that has three or more main windows give it a curved appearance widely angled for maximum space, a steeply pitched roof and ornate ridge details give this style of conservatory a more classical appearance.

Victorian Conservatory

By far the most popular style of conservatory in the UK, its easy rectangular shape providing excellent use of space and elegant structure seem to be the one most people desire. With this conservatory also having that extra headroom it gives off that large spacious feel to even small sized conservatories.

Edwardian Conservatory

This conservatory adds a sense of grandeur to any home providing a light airy feel and giving it a distinctive appearance. Featuring the same rectangular floor space as an Edwardian, a gable offers excellent use of internal space. The front panel of the roof remains upright and creates a feeling of height within the conservatory.

Gable End Conservatory

Traditional or contemporary, this style is ideal for properties with limited space under the eaves or an awkward area in which to fit a conservatory. The pitch of the roof is variable, so that a shallow pitch could fit under a low bungalow roof, whilst a steeper pitch would match the roof of a terraced house.

Lean To Conservatory

As an alternative to the traditional conservatory, orangeries are a great new way to add that extra light and space to your property. Basically a traditional atrium-style conservatory, an orangery lets your adjoining rooms flood with light and provides a genuine sense of magnificence that comes from the interior height.

The ‘Living Room’ orangery is a contemporary take on the classic orangery design, using the well proven classic conservatory roof at its heart and adding an internal perimeter ceiling. More traditional orangeries feature brick pillars to give a feeling of grandeur whilst offering more privacy compared to a standard conservatory. Coupled with bi-folding doors, the traditional orangery really has to be seen to be believed. You can see some examples of orangeries that we have constructed for customers on our projects page.
