A Tilt & Turn Window offers the ultimate in versatility. Turn the handle once and the window will tilt inwards, opening at the top and providing ventilation. This setting is perfect if you want to avoid causing an obstruction or hazard by opening the window wide. Close the window and turn the handle upwards and the window opens inwards from the side, offering a large open space and plenty of airflow, and letting the outdoors into your home.

One of the most common types of system in UK homes today, a casement window offers great versatility because it can be hinged at the top, at either side, or at the bottom. A casement window can also be adapted in any combination to suit any home or individual space. You can specify exactly what combination of casement panes you want to fill your window space, choosing from a huge range of sizes and styles, colours and finishes.

Sash windows are made of one or more sliding panels or ‘sashes’ forming a frame to hold the glass and are opened vertically. In recent years, uPVC sash units have become available which aim to replicate the aesthetic qualities of the traditional sash window, while overcoming many of the shortcomings – especially in regards to regular maintenance and painting, and energy inefficiency. A significant advantage of a sash window is that it provides efficient cooling of interiors during warm weather.

A French window functions in the same way as a French door, comprising a pair of windows that open outwards, offering an unspoilt view that’s not broken by a central vertical frame member. The result is a large opening space that offers uninterrupted vistas and improved air flow – ideal for the summer months when you want to bring the great outdoors into your home. An additional safety feature is that they can provide an alternative escape route from inside to outside.

An astragal bar or grid gives the attractive appearance of a Georgian window, divided into multiple panes. But unlike Georgian window bars, which are integral to the window and set inside the sealed units, astragal bars are fixed to the glass on the inside and out. So you get the traditional, crafted look of multiple panes on a single piece of glazing.

Coloured UPVC and composite frames can be cleverly used to enhance the look of a period property, and are just as effective whether they are applied in a modern, contemporary setting or combined with graceful period styling. The range of finishes available will make sure your replacement windows boast exactly the required appearance, and allows a broad choice of colours across the entire range. Colours & Finishes

Installing replacement windows isn’t just about enhancing the looks and energy efficiency of your home – it’s a significant factor in improving its security as well. In fact, it’s one of the main reasons homeowners replace their windows and doors. It pays to protect the people you care about and your possessions, so the value of a decision to invest in new, secure windows and doors can prove priceless. Even better, it can significantly increase the value of your home.
